Quinn Tipping is the Director of Choral Music at Dowling Catholic High School, where he conducts the Dowling Catholic Singers, Jazz Choir, prepares students for All-State, directs Dowling's annual Madrigal Dinner, and teaches Choral Methods.
He received his Bachelor of Music degree from Iowa State University and completed advanced studies in voice at the University of Miami program, Salzburg, Austria. Quinn completed his Level I Kodaly certification at Drake University. He has previously taught PK-5 music at the American School of Kuwait, and 5-8 music at St. Francis of Assisi School, West Des Moines.
Quinn has been selected for choral conducting masterclasses with Scott Buchanan and Eric Barnum. He has studied conducting with James Rodde and Jacob Harrison. Quinn has studied voice with Scott Jeanery, Leanne Freeman-Miller, Don Simonson, Tony Boutte, and Simon Estes. Influential music teachers in his life include: Sr. Vikki Slickers, Diane Alex, Karl Rohwer, James Rodde, Kathleen Rodde, Janice Weast, and Dr. Aimee Beckmann-Collier.
Quinn and his wife, Faye, are parents to Francis (1) and enjoy traveling and working on their Victorian home.
Lindsey Sheldon is the Assistant Director of the Dowling Catholic Choral program, where she directs the A Cappella Choir and Dimensions Show Choir. She received her Bachelor of Music degree from Luther College, where she studied K-12 music education. At Luther, Lindsey sang in the Nordic Choir, while also studying conducting, methods, and voice with Andrew Last, Andrew Whitfield, Jennaya Robison, Mark Potvin, Jill Wilson, and Juan Tony Guzmán.
Among other things, Lindsey has participated in competitive dance, show choir, musical theatre, and cross country. She has a passion for traveling, and has fond memories of volunteering at Impact Ministries International in Comayagua, Honduras and touring Germany and Prague with the Nordic Choir.
Influential music teachers in her life include: all of the above listed, as well as Jeff Knutson, Catherine Lyon, and Brandon Fraseur.
Ling Yu Hsiao is a music therapist at St. Croix Hospice. She earned degress in General Music at CUNY Queen's College, Collaborative Piano at the Eastman School of Music, and Music Therapy at Appalachian State University.
She previously served as staff accompanist at Hofstra University, CUNY Queen's and Appalachian State.
